The agency of the Scottish Government that handles student funding applications is Student Awards Agency Scotland, known as SAAS. SAAS assess your eligibility, determine the level of support you are eligible for, and arrange for payment of that support.

If you aren’t from Scotland, or haven’t lived here for some time, you won’t meet the residency conditions to apply to SAAS. If you are from another part of the UK, you may be able to apply for a package of student funding from either Student Finance England, Student Finance NI or Student Finance Wales. The Scottish/UK Government does not provide any student funding for international students coming to Scotland or the UK to study, but there are various scholarship and incentive schemes available to international students studying at UWS, that may help contribute towards these costs.
