Entry
We don’t ask for formal science qualifications, but you should:
- Show a strong interest in science, animals, or conservation – this could be through personal interest, volunteering or work experience.
- Be physically fit to handle outdoor work and lab tasks, including standing for long periods and completing physically demanding activities.
- Provide a successful reference if requested.
- Show evidence of success in your learning or work life.
- Attend an information session and interview as part of the selection process.

All applicants should complete a personal statement as part of your application, explaining the type of career you’re interested in and why this course is right for you. Take the time to share your passion and goals, as your statement will play a key role in the selection process.
