NQ Psychology with Criminology
Overview
Gain a thorough introduction to Psychology and Criminology - topics that analyse human behaviour, the mind and a variety of explanations for crime and deviance within modern society. There will also be the opportunity to study other social science subjects while developing your communication skills.
Entry
Entry is competitive and may be subject to interview. A strong personal statement is highly recommended.
At least 3 relevant qualifications at SCQF level 5 (e.g. National 5, intermediate 2, standard grades at credit).
Relevant qualifications include: English, History, Geography, Modern Studies, RMPS, Psychology, Business Management, Mathematics, or a science subject

Learn
The programme will focus mainly on SCQF Level 6 and includes additional units in other social sciences disciplines (such as Sociology) and Communication/Literature. The Psychology classes will involve undertaking some research; while Criminology will cover Forensic Psychology, Crime Scenes, Crime in the Community and the Nature and Extent of Crime.
