Our adapted NQ Music Business course provide students with the practical training and theoretical business knowledge required to succeed in this demanding industry whilst offering the chance of participating in real-life events and collaborating with our college record-label and other Music / Sound Production students developing the vital skills for a career within the dynamic world of Music Business. If you are interested in pursuing a business career within the Creative Industries then this course will prepare you. The course will also prepare those who wish to study at Higher Education level, providing the opportunity to build the required skills and confidence to meet industry expectations.
Entry
One of:
- 2 National 5 passes.
- Equivalent groups of modules or units
Relevant experience may also be considered. All applicants will be required to undertake an interview.

This course will offer a thorough introduction to the music industry and an understanding of business models within it. You will research current music business trends and apply them to various tasks and projects. The course will introduce you to the operations of events, marketing, promotion and developing artists.
