Introduction to Social Sciences
Overview
A 5-month taster programme (January-June) for those with an interest in the Social Sciences disciplines. Topics available will be selected from a variety of potential subjects such as Criminology, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Politics, History, English and core skills.
You will be assessed on an ongoing basis. There is no final examination.
Entry
Candidates will preferably have already achieved National 5 qualifications in several areas; although other backgrounds may be considered.
Important note: All applicants must submit a personal statement and include all qualification details within their application.
Learn
Those undertaking the programme will have the opportunity to acquire a taster for various Social Sciences subjects and to use this as a basis for their progression planning.
