Overview

Are you creative and not sure which direction to take your skills? Then this course is for you! You will have the opportunity to experiment and create within a range of Art & Design disciplines including: drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, product design and creative sketch-booking. 

Introduction to Creative Arts is a course which will teach you about the world of art and design. You will have freedom to explore and enjoy producing artwork, learning how to use materials and techniques in a playful and creative way. 

Entry

Whilst there are no formal entry requirements at this level, candidates should be enthusiastic and keen to try new methods and approaches to art and design. 

Whether you are a young or a more mature learner, who has been away from education for a while, this course is designed for you. Trips to galleries, parks and museums will provide inspiration for your projects and enable you to gather research and experiment with ideas. 

Please note: At application stage you will be required to submit a small portfolio of your work. Entry may also be subject to a satisfactory interview

All materials and equipment will be provided for your studies, subject to eligible bursary requirements. We’ll help you build a creative portfolio which showcases your talent and takes you on to the next step of your journey. Additionally, you will take part in collaborative projects and exhibit your work at the end-of-year exhibition.
