HND Make-up Artistry: TV, Film and Theatre - Year 2
Overview
This course is the second year of the HND Make-up Artistry: TV, film and theatre programme and provides education and training in a variety of specialist make-up applications and hairdressing techniques including wig/postiche application and maintenance, which are essential to candidates pursuing a career in Make-up Artistry specific to the film, television and theatre industry. Candidates will develop skills required to work as part of a production team and creating a professional portfolio. Achievement of HND Make-up Artistry: TV, film and theatre year 1 is essential
Entry
This award requires candidates to undertake frequent industry-related work experience opportunities which take place out with college hours including evenings and/or weekends. This is essential to enable candidates to develop the skills of working in a variety of work-based environments and requires flexibility and good organisational skills.
- Successful achievement of HND Make-up Artistry: TV, film and theatre year 1
- You will be required to purchase a college recommended specialist make-up kit
- You may be required to attend productions out with your normal college hours

There will be ongoing assessments which will include practical tasks, written assessments and portfolio development.
