HNC Business with Sustainability Management
Overview
Businesses play a significant role in environmental impact. Understanding sustainability helps to minimise negative environmental impacts, such as pollution, resource depletion and carbon emissions. The HNC Business with Sustainability Management will cover topics such as resource consumption, market competitiveness, risk mitigation, global responsibility and innovation.
In addition students will learn key business skills such as; emerging technologies, leadership skills, business law and accounting.
In summary studying sustainability is essential for ethical, financial and strategic reasons, helping companies thrive in a rapidly changing world while contributing to a more sustainable future.
Entry
One of the following:
1 relevant* Higher at C grade or above OR
an appropriate grouping of National 5 and/or Intermediate 2 and Higher units or
Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills or
NQ Business or similar
The course is suitable for school leavers, adults returning to education or those in employment who wish to enhance their career prospects.
Please note:
each applicant is considered on an individual basis and previous work experience and prior learning will be taken into consideration.
Relevant* subjects include Accounting, Business Management, English, Mathematics, Geography, History and a Science Subject.
