HNC Business Day Release Year 1
Overview
The HNC Day Release course is designed for candidates' who are adult returners to education or those in employment who wish to enhance their career prospects, those who are, or wish to be, self-employed and require a broad grounding in business.
The HNC in Business is a comprehensive program designed to provide you with a solid foundation in various areas of business operations, management principles, and strategic decision-making. Tailored to meet the demands of today's dynamic business landscape, this qualification equips you with the essential knowledge, skills, and insights needed to thrive in a competitive marketplace.
The course is run for one day per week for two years. The cost of course noted is per year.
Entry
One of the following:
1 relevant* Higher at C grade or above OR
an appropriate grouping of National 5 and/or Intermediate 2 and Higher units or
Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Skills or
NQ Business or similar
Please note that relevant work experience will also be taken into consideration.

This two year course enables candidates to acquire skills and knowledge in key business functions such as management, marketing, and accounting. In year 1 you will learn skills and gain knowledge from the following areas:
