Forensic Psychology
Overview
This SQA unit provides an introduction to the work of forensic psychologists within the criminal justice system. You will examine the work of forensic psychologists within the police force, the prison system, the courts and the probation service. You will also consider the nature/nurture debate and apply psychological explanations to case study examples of criminals and criminal behaviour.
Various psychological explanations of criminal behaviour are also examined.
Entry
Nat 5/standard grade level qualifications in English and/or a social science subject would be preferred.
