Access to Visual and Creative Arts
Overview
Are you creative and not sure which direction to take your skills? Then this course is for you! The Access to the Visual & Creative Arts course has been designed for creative individuals who have an interest in and may be considering a career in Animation, Art & Design or Photography.
During the course you will work both collaboratively on projects and through individual practical tasks such as designing and building models ready for your own stop animation short complete with sound. You will gain skills in camera techniques, studio setup, image and animation editing and additionally explore a range of 2D and 3D Art & Design techniques.
Entry
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements at this level, candidates should be enthusiastic and keen to try new methods and approaches to creativity within the Visual & Creative Arts.
Please note: You will be asked to submit a small portfolio of your work. Entry may also be subject to a satisfactory interview
Learn
Throughout the course, you will work on a wide range of projects gaining experience using a variety of materials and techniques and developing skills in the following areas:
- Research and Investigation
- Drawing & Illustration
- 3D Model Making
- Principals of Photography
- Image editing using Adobe Software
- Animation editing using Adobe Software
All materials and equipment will be provided for your studies, subject to eligible bursary requirements. We’ll help you build a creative portfolio which showcases your talent and takes you on to the next step of your journey.
